Hi Everyone,
It was a great weekend that was especially enjoyable for all of us. We hadn’t been on an outing like this since 2019 and it felt good just to be together. The birding was quite exceptional with us managing to pick up two rare birds - a Black-bellied Whistling Duck from either south Florida or south Texas, and a Razorbill from the east coast. We saw many wintering sea ducks including all 3 scoter species, 1000’s of Long-tailed Ducks ,etc.
Today the Niagra parkway seemed especially pretty as we drove through the beauty of this wonderful area. Last night In Niagara Falls, the Xmas lights display was spectacular, and if you missed this trip, it would be well worth your time to visit and enjoy the beauty of the lights.
I would be happy to share some of your photos with The BBC showing the wonderful birds we saw if you would pass them on to me.
