BBC Hike Wednesday March 21; 28 members of the BBC spent the first day of spring looking at birds with pleasant weather except for the chilling wind. Starting with the Harlequin at Baie du Dore we saw 12 species of ducks. A lingering Snowy Owl cooperated by being quite close to the road. Tundra Swans circled overhead while a 1000 Canada Geese paddled on the 2nd con. pond. The first Turkey Vultures of the year were seen on route. By the end of the day we saw 49 species.
