Hi Everyone,

Thank you, Eric and Steve for leading us on a great hike today. You did a great job in finding and identifying the birds for us. Our main reason for going to the Mitchell Lagoons was to see shorebirds. We saw 9 in total, including two Wilson’s Phalarope and a Stilt Sandpiper - the the best birds of the day. Seen were uncountable Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpipers were numerous and the Semipalmated Sandpipers put on a great display, W e enjoyed the family of Sora Rails, 2 juveniles and a parent. Thank you.

The weather was sunny, 19 Centrigrade with light winds.
