HI Everyone,
The birding club went to the West Perth Wetlands or as many of us call this destination, the Michel Sewage Lagoons. Thank you to Brenda and John for hosting us with goodies and coffee as we gathered prior to our birding day.
Sometimes happiness is caused by great surprises and the great surprise today was an Hudsonian Godwit. This is a new record for the BBC and it brought smiles and new lifers for many in the group. It gave us great looks. The wetlands are one of the best spots we go to for shorebirds and today was no exception with 10 species.
The weather was sunny, little wind and a high of about 20 C.
