Hi Everyone,
Many thanks goes to Judith for leading this hike today. She was away for 5 weeks, got back on Monday and scouted yesterday and led the hike today. She did a superb job for us in spite of the what she went through. May you sleep well as you get caught up on normal life, Judith. We saw an incredible 91 species of birds which will probably be our year's high.
Highlights for the day were the Snowy Egret, a rare bird that will make the Ontario record books, 21 species of warblers, 5 species of vireos, and finished the day in fine fashion finding a Wilson’s Warbler and a Virginia Rail.
The temperature was about 12 C, cloudy and sun at times, and wind speeds of 20 KPH.
Thank you Margaret for keeping track of the list for us.
