HI Everyone,
Thank you, Doug for leading us today. Your scouting and planning made for a successful day for all of us. You smiled the whole time while keeping us on track, and on schedule. We did have time to go to every place you said you were taking us to; that generally does not happen. You, giving a presentation tonight, made your leadership today above the call of duty. Thank you for looking after us so well.
Exciting views of day included, many Bald Eagles at Baie Du D’or, (20 plus0, at one point we saw 3 Snowy Owls in one view. A pure white male sat on the ground with two Snowy’s sitting in a nearby fence on a double post, one above the other, each looking the opposite way, with a cow standing in the background. If ever there was an invitation to take a special picture, that was it. At another site we had a snowy owl sitting on the ground with hundreds of Snowbunting flying in the air behind them.
The weather was cool with a High of 5 C, cloudy in the morning with some light rain, with sun and cloud in the afternoon. The winds were light.
Thank you Mike, for looking after the list in such a thorough manner. Mike has listed the birds seen in the areas we visited, which makes sending this email out much easier. Thank you.
Thank you, Marilyn for the photos of the American Tree Sparrow and the Red Fox at the bottom of the birds listed by Mike.
