Thank you, Beryl for providing a great day for us and showing us the Collingwood area that we seldom get to see. It was a great place to view waterfowl. You were incredibly organized and it showed in how the day went. Thank you also to Cory for helping out.
Beryl led 25 of us through a blustery, rainy day with poor light conditions. We had a great day seeing 50 species of birds. Most of the passerines have migrated through and the waterfowl were now taking their turn. Best bird of the day was a Harlequin Duck that sparkled in his new feathers. What a great sight he was. The Canvasback, the Tundra Swans and the Bald Eagle added to our day's pleasure.
Thank you Margaret for keeping track of the birds for us.
Temperature 12 C, winds high with some gusts of 50 K., Rain, heavy at times with some cloudy times in between.
