HI Everyone,

We had a good day, with 23 people finding a total of 59 species. We missed out on the flocks of Tundra Swans but found a few to accomplish that goal. After a little work we did t he find the elusive Red-headed Woodpecker and perhaps a nest that 2 RHWO were in the vicinity of. We did see a Bald Eagle sitting on the nest and found an incredible number of waterfowl totaling 18 in number. The Titmouse cooperated as well.

Thank you to Norah for getting us into the Pinery VC for lunch when it was closed. It is good to have friend who is a friend of someone who is in a high place or something like that. Also, thank you to Margaret for keeping track of the birds seen and heard today. Also thank you to Maris Apse for the tips he gave, particularly for the nesting Bald Eagles.

The weather was an incredible 25 C with sun and little wind. Not bad for a March day.
