HI Everyone,

Today was a great shorebirding day seeing 13 species, with the Baird’s Sandpiper seen at Chalmers Pond getting plenty of excitement as it was in Bruce County, making the eBird listers very happy. The Red-necked Phalarope was the first phalarope of the year for the BBC, and that bird was well photographed. Considering we were only in shorebird habitat, the total of 56 birds was excellent.

Thank you, Kiah for doing an excellent job of leading us today. We appreciated your developing skills as a leader and the sense of humour that comes with that leadership.

Thank you, Anne for hosting us at your house today. It was a real treat to be surrounded by your lovely gardens, your kindness and your generosity. Your butter tarts were in a calibre of their own, and that along with the other treats, put a smile on many faces.

The weather was sunny and clear and around 22 C the whole time.
