Locations: Most of the birds were seen at the marsh. The birds seen en route are shown as # 2.
Conditions: It was a lovely late summer day. Sunny with a moderate south breeze and a brief shower in the afternoon. The high was 24C.
Several of us wondered about a few plants which we saw. Marj identified Swamp Smartweed - rose coloured flowers on a spike. The yellow composite flower we saw was Nodding Bur Marigold. The purple flowered aster was New England Aster. Thanks Norah for providing the names.
