Thank you to John for planning a well organized that tool a lot of planning and set up with owners. Thank you John for your efforts.
We had 15 people come to today's wintery Bruce Birding Club Outing on what we call our Annual Feeder Tour. HIghlights of the day were being able to see 6 Snowy Owls, one solitary Common Redpoll, and four species of woodpeckers. We collected all of the expected winter migrants except for the Northern Shrike. The American Goldfinch was the most common species. Twenty-seven species in total were seen today.
The temperature varied from -9 to -5 C, winds were light, skies were mostly overcast with some light flurries at the end of the day.
