There are a lot of people to thank for today’s 12 hour eat and birding day. The first and biggest thank you go to Marshall and Wanda Byle for opening their home to us to hold this event. Hosting twenty-nine people in your home for three meals can be a messy business, but our hosts did this graciously and enjoyably. Thank you, again. A second thank you goes to Marshall who planned and organized the day. He had four different hike leaders taking us birding to designated locations, all happening with planned meals and breaks. Thank you to the hike leaders who between the four of them led us to a seventy species day. Thank you, Marilyn Ohler for keeping the eBird list for us. And a very big thank you to the participants who brought delicious pot luck food items that we enjoyed with happy social chatter. Fred ate too much, but I think I had company.
The weather was mostly cloudy with a temperature range between 2 and 10 degrees centigrade.
