HI Everyone,
The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the temperatures were warm, and the winds were light. What a great day for birding! And it was! Twenty-five of us saw ninety-three species of birds today. The goal was to find the birds that had not made the BBC year list, and we only had this spring to locate them. We used the experience we learned from the festival, and with additional local knowledge, we went out searching.
Lunch was at the Wiarton Harbour
Thank you, to Stew for taking us to a new nest just started by the Piping Plovers,toJoan for lettings know where the Grasshopper Sparrow was, and to Margaret for keeping the list for us.
