Hi Everyone,

I would like to thank, James for organizing a great day for us. He provided us with some great highlights. The ones that stick out in my mind were the two Common Ravens by their nest site, the 107 Tundra Swans (thank you Beryl for counting), the eight flying overhead Sandhill Cranes we saw at Point Clarke and finally some evidence that migrating waterfowl have finally started to come through our area. Their is much snow and ice still impeding their journey. James led us to 48 species of birds in birding that were in winter conditions.

The temperature varied from - 2 To + 2 C, winds were brisk and the clouding morning turned into a sunny afternoon.

Thank you Margaret for keeping the day’s bird list for us,
