HI Everyone,
Thank you, Doug and Stew for leading us on the hike today.
We had 40 people take part in today's outing where we saw 63 species of birds.
After the hike, we had a barbeque and pot luck at Nancy and Stew's cottage. Thank you both for your generosity and hard work in having us over at your cottage. Also thank you to the head chef and barbecue master, Doug Pedwell for his grilling of the sausage and hamburgers. John Dickson entertained us with his clarinet for some after supper entertainment. Thank you John for taking us down memory lane with some of your songs. Thank you Margaret for keeping the list for us.
The weather was warm with temperatures ranging from 19 to 29 Centigrade. The day was sunny with moderate winds.
The birds were seen at the Berford Lake area, Cabot Head, the Sparrow Fields up by Dyer's Bay, Crane Lake and of course while en route to these places.
