HI Everyone,
Kiah, our hike leader for the day led us in a successful hike, where the Reddish Egret was added to the BBC bird list. A first for the province and of course, a first for the club. This bird was originally found by Kiah and Alfred, The bird did not cooperate in making the find easy. Persistence and knowing the bird’s visiting spots eventually produced a result after a long, tedious hunt. Thank you, Kiah for leading us today. Birding was slow but steady and eventually we found 55 species of birds.
The weather varied from cloudy to sunny, but the most consistent part of it was the heat. It was 29 to 31 C. Hot! Thank you, Margaret for keeping today’s list.
