We had 41 people out today, and picked up a wonderful number of species - 96 in total. Wow! Fourteen species of warblers and eight species of sparrows were seen, all of them most likely nesters in our region. We covered the Bruce Peninsula from just below Mar up to the tip of the Peninsula.
Thank you Stew and Nancy for hosting a wonderful potluck supper for us and letting us share your wonderful cottage. It was a great setting and a wonderful atmosphere to share a meal in where we all had a wonderful social time. There were many smiles and much laughter.
Thank you also to Doug Pedwell who spent many hours organizing us into separate groups, having us going out independently and giving us 12 different locations to cover in the northern part of the Bruce Peninsula. He sent us to 12 different locations. What an effort Doug.
The weather was quite nice with temperature around 18 C and sunny skies.
