Hi Everyone,
We had a great day today with Alfred Raab leading the hike, We saw 83 species of birds over the course of the day. Thank you Alfred for bringing in the birds in a good number and a special thanks to Brigitte Raab for hosting Twenty-eight of us at her house where we ate lunch.
The birds that seemed to please us were the number of swallows species including Purple Martin and Chimney Swift we saw at the Wiarton Sewage Lagoons and the Blackburnian Warbler that sang and displayed for us at the Lindsay Tract which was the last stop of our day.
The weather was cool ranging from 11 to 18 C. The sky was overcast with a spot of rain and the winds were variable.
The places we stopped at were:
1) En route while in the car
2) Wiarton Sewage Lagoons
3) Malcolm Bluffs
4) Alfred's House
5) Black Creeek Provincial Park
6) Lindsay Tract
