Hi Everyone,
Thank you Arlene, Norma, Carole and Margaret for taking us out today. We had a great day and enjoyed the outing while experiencing some incredible fall colours. The colours were everywhere, seen as we drove through the narrow roads up and down hills. We saw 15 species of birds at the Amphitheater on Native Land in Southampton. This was the most birds seen at one stop. . Your lunch deserts were incredible and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Margaret for sharing your home with us. It handled our crowd really well. Twenty-nine of us enjoyed your group leadership and friendliness.
In total we stopped at 15 places today which are too many to list. Some of us birded after the fact and added to the list. The best bird of the day was a Cackling Goose seen in Miramichi Bay around 4:00 PM.
Sixty-three species of birds were seen.
The Temperatures were between 14 and 19 degrees. The sky was mostly cloudy with some scant rainfall. The wind was clam with some movement in the afternoon.
