HI Everyone,
Thank you James for your scouting making it possible for us to see the Franklin's Gull. This was obviously the great bird of the day. The day was made more enjoyable with the enthusiasm James displayed as he took us from bird to bird.
The find of the day was the Franklin's Gull which was seen on the weekend by the BBC'ers who saw it at Niagara. However the close and personal views we saw today gave us much superior views.
This was genuinely a winter birding day. The wind was stiff and the temperatures hovered around the 0 mark, making for a cool birding day. Sky was overcast.
31 species of birds were seen today.
