There are two ways to access the NAS:
Via Web access
Via a VPN
Find the login and password in your LastPass vault called Web Access To NAS
Enter the IP address (numbers) into your Chrome as a URL and push enter. This will then bring you to a login screen where you will enter the username and password
Note: These steps need to be followed to set up the VPN access on your computer the first time. Once this is set up, you then follow the Accessing the NAS via the VPN instructions below:
Open Start Menu > Search "VPN" > Click VPN Settings
From the VPN settings page, click Add a VPN connection
In the Add a VPN connection dialog:
Set the VPN provider to Windows (built-in)
Provide a Connection name for the VPN connection (something like Upper Hutt Office VPN)
Specify the public IP address 103.91.196.208 in the Server name or address box
Select L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key for the VPN type
Type of sign-in info - choose User name and Password
Enter in the username and password (The office administrator to set up a new user as required in the Meraki System)
After the VPN connection has been created, go back to the VPN Settings window and click Change adapter options under Related settings (this might appear on the right hand side or down below)
Right click on the VPN Connection from the list of adapters and click Properties
In the Security tab, select "Require encryption (disconnect if sever declines)" under Data encryption
Then, select Allow these protocols under Authentication. From the list of protocols, check "Unencrypted password (PAP)", and uncheck all other options (Despite the name "Unencrypted PAP", the client's password is sent encrypted over an IPsec tunnel between your device and the router. The password is fully secure and never sent in clear text over either the WAN or the LAN)
Click on "Advanced settings"
In Advanced Properties dialog box, choose "Use preshared key for authentication" and enter the key provided below
Preshared key for Strictly Savvy is (case sensitive): strictlysavvy!
Back at the Network Connections window, right-click on the VPN connection and click Connect / Disconnect
Find your VPN profile and click Connect.
Enter your user name and password - refer to LastPass
The VPN is now set up
Follow the instructions below to now access the NAS
To get NAS access on your computer, follow these instructions. This will only work if you are in the Savvy Upper Hutt Office/Pod
