If you need to make calls on behalf of a client, the first preference is to use your work cell phone (all phones on our 2degrees plan have unlimited calling to NZ mobiles and landlines). Second preference is to use a colleague's work cell phone if you are not on the business plan. Third preference is to then use the softphone on your computer.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All out-bound calls from the softphones default to our Strictly Savvy line phone number and will show up as this on the persons phone, so if someone doesn't listen to a voicemail they will call the office line back without any idea of who called them, why or for what client it was for. This is why it is preferred that work phones are used to make calls on behalf of clients and the business, so then at least return calls will go to the person who made the call in the first place.
There are a number of exceptions to this rule e.g. we wouldn’t want a sales call going out on Jo's phone in case the person calls her mobile back later on, so if you are unsure of what to do, please discuss it further with the General Manager.
