What This Automation Does
This scenario runs on a weekly schedule and automatically pulls all time entries logged in Harvest for the current month against a specified project. It calculates the total hours used to date and creates a draft email in Gmail ready for you to review and send. No manual timesheet calculations needed.
Apps Used
Our Savvy Harvest
Gmail / Outlook - You will need the correct permissions to connect Make to your email platform
How It Works
Harvest (First Module) pulls all non-running time entries for the current month from the specified project
Numeric Aggregator (Second Module ) adds all the individual hour entries together into one total
Gmail (Last Module) creates a draft email addressed to the client with the total hours included in the body
Scheduling
Please select the time that you would like this to be triggered. Keep in mind if you trigger this at 11am and you do not check and send the draft until 2pm. The time is pulled at 11am.
Please note for Global team, you are unable to connect your Harvest due to the permission level. The NZ VA for the client will need to create an application in their harvest and then provide you with the Client ID and Secret. If you have already created a connection before you can use the same Client ID and Client secret for each client in Make.
NZ VA actions below:
1. Click Create a connection below
2. Add a connection name e.g. Briar's Harvest
3. Click Advanced Settings at the bottom of the connection popup to reveal the Client ID and Client Secret fields
4. In a new tab, go to: https://id.getharvest.com/developers
5. Click Create new OAuth2 application
6. Enter a name e.g. Make
7. Enter the following as the Redirect URL: https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/harvest
8. Click Create Application (leave Access and Products as default)
9. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret and chat to the global team member
