If a Make/automation chat in ChatGPT is laggy/too long 

AND

Keep context when you finish an automation

Chats in ChatGPT/Claude can easily time out and get too long when talking about Make automations, so if yours are getting slow we suggest copying and pasting the below prompt into a new chat to pick up where you left off. Paste the result of the below prompt with: “Continue from this Make.com automation context” into a new Chat. 

We also suggest using this same prompt when you finish an automation and paste the result into your OneNote file so you don't forget what you've done, and if you need to make changes/additions later you can just paste the info into a new Chat if your old one is no longer there.

The prompt is:

Give me a full technical summary of this Make Automation including:

1. The general purpose of the automation

2. The steps/module order

3. Info on each step we added, what it does and why (plus any settings/conditions and known value fields within the steps)

4. Any rules or roadblocks we had while building

5. Anything we haven't yet set up but wanted to

6. Anything else that is crucial to be able to pick up where we left off
