Berrycast is the app we use to do screen recordings of processes for client handbooks, task instructions for other team members and anything else you may need to record. Below are the instructions on how to install and use Berrycast.
Download for free
Login using the assist@strictlysavvy.co.nz login, and download & install the app to your computer
You'll then come to a screen where it asks you to set up an account. Don't login with Office 365 or enter in your details - instead you need to click Already Have An Account. You then login with the assist@strictlysavvy.co.nz Berrycast details.
Once downloaded you should have an icon in your taskbar/on your desktop. If you open Berrycast it should also have a very small green bar that sits on the left hand side of your screen - once you hover over this it will expand and give you the option to record. (If the little green bar isn't showing up on the left then you can open the Berrycast app and adjust the settings).
To record your video click the record button. You have the options to turn your webcam on, turn audio on and off and some other options - adjust these as need be.
Then it will ask you if you want to do a full screen recording OR you can choose to just mouse over the area you would like to record. (Please keep in mind if you do a full-screen recording for a client handbook that you will need to make sure no other client details are visible in the recording for privacy reasons.)
Once you have finished recording hit the tick or done button.
When the video has finished loading a little pop-up will appear where you can change the name of your recording.
After changing the name of your video - click outside of the pop-up so that you are in the main Berrycast dashboard. From here please move your video (by dragging and dropping) into the appropriate folder (if this is your first Berrycast video you may need to create a folder for yourself - and within your folder you can create subfolders for clients or temporary videos that you'll be deleting soon etc.).
From here you can copy the link to the video (for Teamwork task instructions)
OR for client handbooks you may need to download the video to your computer and upload into the Chromebar's Google Drive - then you can insert into the handbook. (This is a process the global team can help you with, or if you're unsure on this process please speak to your manager.)
