The Employee is expected to maintain a good standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
Suitable professional business attire is to be worn during business hours to present and maintain our company image and/or adhere to health and safety regulations. The Employer reserves the right to exercise discretion on this matter when making decisions on the dress code, as and when the circumstances dictate. In the event the Employee arrives at work in unsuitable attire, the Employer may request that the Employee changes the unsuitable item and the Employee shall comply with that instruction.
If the Employee has a client meeting or is going onsite, then they should dress accordingly. For example, you would dress in smart "business wear" if your meeting is with a lawyer or business person - you wouldn't dress in "smart casual". Likewise if you were meeting on a building site, you would wear closed toe shoes (or steel caps), a hi-vis vest (please ask the Office Administrator or Managing Director for one) and a hard hat if required.
