We advertise roles through SEEK.
Login to Jo's 'Employer Site' account via LastPass (this may trigger a code to Jo's email).
If you are advertising for an existing role within Savvy e.g. Bookkeeper/VA/Graphic Designer:
Navigate to 'Jobs' in the top menu and when the page loads, click on the 'expired' sub-heading.
From there, find in the list the last ad for the type of role that you're advertising for and click the copy/duplicate icon on the right next to the 3 dot menu.
Review and update any information necessary/that's changed of the draft ad since the last time it was advertised e.g. title, salary, any updates to the job ad. (Make sure 'classic' ad type is selected with no add-ons unless otherwise advised).
For Team Leaders doing this process: Once you've filled out all of the information, click 'save draft' at the bottom next to the continue/next/publish button. Then ask the General Manager to review and publish the ad.
The General Manager will publish the ad and update the email preferences to send emails to assist@strictlysavvy.co.nz NOT Jo's email.
When published, share the job listing on our social media accounts and our website.
Refer to further instructions for hiring and the shortlisting process here.
If you are advertising for an new role that we've never advertised before:
Navigate to 'Jobs' in the top menu and when the page loads, click on the 'expired' sub-heading.
Find a previous listing from the list that is the most similar to the role you want to advertise for and click on the title of that role (this is to get some base wording for the job ad).
Click the copy/duplicate icon on the right next to the 3 dot menu.
Because this is a new role, all of the information will need to be updated, but you will now have a base to create the new ad from. On the first page, update the title, location (if needed), work-type and salary for the new role. Then click next/continue.
Make sure 'classic' ad type is selected with no add-ons unless otherwise advised and then click continue.
Then use the base information for the job ad to re-write the new job ad. You could use a tool such as ChatGPT to help with this based on requirements and information about the new role, but you must review it and get the GM or Founder to review the new ad description.
Make sure to include any other instructions for the application such as our pre-screening of finding a spelling error and completing the free DiSC test that you will find in the previous job ad.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and write a short summary of the role to catch people's attention when they're scrolling on Seek (again you can use ChatGPT to help write this!) and then click continue.
Choose up to 8 of Seek's candidate questions or create your own to help with our pre-screening of candidates. Make sure to include as a part of the questions:
The ' What best describes your NZ working rights' question with 'permanent work rights' as our only acceptable answer.
The 'Salary expectations' question with a relevant band to what we're offering as the answer
And the 'What is your notice period' question
You can also choose questions for how many years experience, tools and apps experience and anything else that's suitable for the role.
