Dropbox is the system we use to transfer files and folders to our clients remotely.
We have one central account that we all use so when needing to send files/picture, you will need to get the clients to send them to the assist@strictlysavvy.co.nz address which Strictly Savvy 'owns'.
You can choose what you wish to see in Dropbox as some things may not need to sync to your computer. See Selective sync Dropbox on how to do this.
Had a video showing how to access Dropbox. May add later
You can access client folders in our Dropbox either online (refer above) or on your computer. If you don't have Dropbox on your computer refer to instructions below on how to download it.
If it is a client folder you need to access regularly, selective sync your Dropbox so you only have the folders you need ticked. This will ensure you computer doesn't get too full of downloaded files and run slowly. Check here on how to selective sync your Dropbox.
Please ensure any folders and files shared with you are shared with the assist@strictlysavvy.co.nz email address and not your own. This helps us keep all the files together instead of being spread out everywhere.
1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/install to download Dropbox onto your computer
2. Once it has downloaded, follow the instructions to set it up. Ensure you select selective sync and choose what files to download
3. Log in using the Assist login from LastPass. If you do not have access to this please let the Office Administrator know
Selective sync your Dropbox so only the folders you need to access are on your computer. This will free up space and ensures that Dropbox won't slow down your computer. We recommend that you check on a weekly basis which folders are syncing from Dropbox to your computer.
1. Right-click on the Dropbox icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. If the icon is not there click on the little arrow. If you still can't see it, go to your Start bar and type in Dropbox. The icon will now show up
2. Click on the Settings icon and select Preferences
3. In the new window which has opened, select Account
4. Click on Selective Sync
5. Your folders will now load. Once they have loaded go through and tick the folders you would like on your computer
6. Click Update. The folders will now sync to your computer
