As of September 2024, Xero has changed some of its plans and their names and functionability.
What were known as the Starter, Standard, Premium and Ultimate (old) plans, with add-ons available for things like payroll, have now been changed to the Ignite, Grow, comprehensive and Ultimate plans which now have payroll options included, and not as an add-on.
The moves to these new plans started in September 2024, where Xero was reviewing all client plans and the functions they need based on their usage for the 3-6 months prior, and then emailing clients with the plan that they would need to migrate to to continue to have those functions. The email will include the name of the plan, cost of old vs new plan and when the migration will happen - either February or September 2025 if the client leaves it with Xero, or the can change/upgrade at any time before then.
Below is a quick reference chart showing what each new plan does, and does not, include and the NZD price excluding gst; and below that a PDF to show the comparisons between the old and new plans, which can be sent to clients to help with any decision-making.
