SMGT 305 Discussion Board Forums (3)

Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be 200 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 100 words. For each thread, the student must support his/her assertions with at least 2 scholarly citations in APA format. Each reply must incorporate at least 1 scholarly citation in APA. Any sources cited must have been published within the last 5 years. Acceptable sources include the textbook, the Bible, etc.

SMGT 305 Quizzes (8)

Weekly quizzes will be utilized to measure the students’ ability to recall, analyze, and apply the concepts covered in the course content and assigned readings for the assigned week/module. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 10 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 1-hour time limit.

SMGT 305 Case Briefs (2)

Students will analyze and prepare case briefs based upon an assigned area of law. Each brief should be 3 pages and double-spaced. The specific instructions should be reviewed carefully prior to submission. The assignments must be submitted in a Word document.

SMGT 305 Midterm Exam (1)

The midterm exam will be utilized to measure the student’s ability to recall, analyze, and apply the concepts covered in the first four modules/weeks of the course. The student must answer 4 essay questions. Further, short essay answers must be at least 200 words and long enough to adequately answer the question presented. Bullet point answers are not permitted. Each essay answer must cite 2 resources that have not yet been used in the course. The midterm’s answers must be submitted in a Word document.
