Each student will complete 4 Discussion Board Forums in the course. Initial posts, also called threads, must be completed by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned module/week. Also, each student must submit replies to 2 classmates’ threads by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the assigned module/week. Threads should be a minimum 400 words with references to the course texts, course teaching resources and additional scholarly research as applicable.

MILT 575 Military Family Case Study Topic-Part I
Each student will select a topic from the approved list of topics and write a 1-2 page paper (not including the title page and references) which addresses the following: (1) the importance of the topic as it relates to resilience in military, and (2) the importance of the topic as it relates to you as a caregiver, leader or counselor working with military families. MILT 575 Military Family Case Study Outline-Part II
Each student will develop a comprehensive APA outline from the military topic identified in Module/Week 2. The outline must be a 2-3-page paper (not including the title page or reference page) which identifies 4-5 major points and at least 2 subpoints for each major point. The outline will identify and briefly address importance of the topic, challenges and stressors, and the integration of resiliency resources as well as biblical/spiritual principles and insights. Students will want to support their ideas with a minimum of six scholarly research sources, i.e., course texts, peer-reviewed journal articles. Explanations are to be included in the NOTES section. MILT 575 Military Family PowerPoint Presentation
Each student will create an attractive, visually appealing (graphics) PowerPoint presentation based on the military resiliency topic from the approved list (Module/Week 2) and the research developed in the Outline (Module/Week 3). The presentation should address the importance of the topic, 3-4 learning objectives, the identified audience, challenges and stressors, and the integration of resiliency interventions and resources as well as biblical/spiritual principles and guidelines. The major and subsections must be clearly supported by a minimum of six scholarly research sources cited in the text of the PowerPoint. MILT 575 Military Family Case Study-Part III
Each student will create a fictitious military family vignette based on the selection of the topic chosen in Module/Week 2 and further developed in Modules/Weeks 3 and 5, and write a 10-page scholarly paper, which includes a title page, an opening paragraph or two which briefly introduces the topic and the key points presented in the paper. The paper will also provide a description of the fictitious family: names, gender, ages, military rank, occupations, educational backgrounds, cultural dynamics (personal and military), religious and spiritual histories, and other characteristics which best describes individual and family dynamics, concerns, challenges and stressors, and the integration of resiliency and counseling interventions, military and community resources, as well as biblical/spiritual principles and guidelines. In addition, students will identify and discuss personal strengths and limitations as a caregiver, leader, or counselor that you would bring to bear upon this fictitious vignette. Students support their ideas with a minimum of eight scholarly research sources, i.e., course texts, peer-reviewed journal articles. MILT 575 Exams (2)
There will be two objective exams throughout the course. The exam will consist of multiple-choice and true/false questions. The exams are open-book, but the student is NOT permitted to consult with anyone on the exams, take the exams in groups, or share answers. Integrity, professionalism, and godly comportment are expected of the student at all times.
