FACS 510 Discussion Board Forums (4)

Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be 300–350 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to two other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 200 words.

FACS 510 Book Critique Paper

The student will read and write a critique of the book Same-Sex Marriage. Please follow the word count requirements for each section.

FACS 510 Family Issues Research Paper

The student will write a 2,300–2,500 word research-based paper in current APA format that focuses on topic from the suggested topic list. The paper must include at least 10 references from peer-reviewed articles and books in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.

FACS 510 Exams (2)

There is one mid-term and one final exam. Each exam will cover the Reading & Study material from the textbook for the assigned week(s). Each exam will be open-book and contain multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 60 minute time limit.
