Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. The threads must be at least 300 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student will reply to at least 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 150 words.
The student will write a 3–5-page paper in current APA format regarding his or her experience in attending a 12-step program. The paper must include a title page and a reference page with at least 3 professional resources that have been published within the past 5 years and must be in current APA format. This assignment assesses Competency 2-Diversity (knowledge & values) and Competency 7-Assessment (knowledge, cognitive and affective processes).
The student will write a minimum 5-page paper in current APA format on his or her experience in keeping a dependency journal. The paper must include a title page and a reference page with at least 3 professional resources in current APA format. The dependency paper assignment assesses Competency 7-Assessment (knowledge, cognitive and affective processes).
The student will complete a two week daily log covering the Biological, Psychological, Social and Spiritual aspects of abstaining from their chosen option. The weekly journal assignment assesses Competency 7-Assessment (knowledge, cognitive and affective processes).
Each exam will cover the Reading & Study material for the module/week in which it is assigned, along with the Reading & Study material from the preceding module/week. Each exam will be open-book/open-notes, contain 50 multiple-choice questions, and have a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes. These exams assess Competency 2-Diversity (knowledge & values), Competency 4-Practice-Informed Research & Research-Informed Practice (knowledge), Competency 7-Assessment (knowledge), Competency 8-Intervention (knowledge & cognitive process) & Competency 9-Evaluation (knowledge).
