ENGL 633 Discussion Board Forums (6)
Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be at least 400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge and graduate-level writing with regard to content and style. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 150 words. Current APA, MLA, or Turabian formatting (whichever corresponds to the student’s degree program) must be used for bibliographical entries and in-text citations.
ENGL 633 Language Analyses (4)
The student will analyze various activities that focus on a specific aspect of language, such as phrenology, morphology, syntax, and tense.
ENGL 633 Quizzes (5)
The quizzes will cover the Reading & Study material for the assigned modules/weeks. The quizzes will be open-book/open-notes, contain 5–13 questions, and have a 20-minute time limit.
ENGL 633 Mid-Term Exam
The Mid-Term will cover the Reading & Study material for Modules/Weeks 1–4. The midterm will be open-book/open-notes, contain 36 multiple-choice, true/false, short-answer, multiple-answer, matching, and essay questions and have a 1-hour and 30-minute time limit.
ENGL 633 Final Exam
The Final is cumulative and will cover the Reading & Study material for Modules/Weeks 1–8. The final will be open-book/open-notes, contain 46 multiple-choice, short-answer, fill-in-the-blank, and essay questions, and have a 1-hour and 30-minute time limit.
