ADCN 699 Practical Chapter Review (4)
For your Practical Chapter Review of your assigned chapter, follow the directions laid out in the "Instructions for Practical Chapter Reviews" document posted in the module and also found in Course Documents. Those guidelines serve as the primary instructions for this assignment; each module will also provide clarification for its specific chapter. Remember to address all four sections: Summarize, Respond, Reflect & Act. Each section should be kept to 300 words. Please be reminded that this assignment must be submitted as a word document attachment in the link provided.
ADCN 699 State Requirement Checklist
ADCN 699 Midterm and Final Evaluation
Students will download the “Midterm/Final Evaluation” forms found in Course Content and give them to his/her supervisor(s) to complete. Students then scan the evaluation forms and submit them via the “Assignments” link. Students who do not receive passing evaluations during the course will work with the supervisor and Liberty University internship faculty to develop a plan to correct any deficits. An “F” in the practicum/internship due to unethical or improper behavior at a site results in expulsion from the Center for Counseling and Family Studies.
ADCN 699 Interview with Supervisor (LPC or LMFT)
Students will conduct an interview with their licensed supervisor, a licensed individual at their site or any licensed individual in their community (must be licensed in the respective field the student is seeking his or her degree; LPC or LMFT). This interview will consists of questions regarding the profession of counseling and explore the perspective of their supervisor. Students are encouraged to be creative and professional with their questions to gain the most information for this project. Please review the Grading Rubric and Interview Guide for details.
ADCN 699 Student Evaluation of Site and Supervisor Form
ADCN 699 Quizzes
The purpose of these quizzes are to test the student’s knowledge of the Internship Manual, the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics, The Jungers & Scott textbook readings, and the Thomas readings.
Pass/No Pass (P/NP) Policy Quiz: The quiz will test the student’s knowledge of the Marriage and Family Therapy Internship Manual. Students must pass with a grade of 42 or above.
Code of Ethics Quiz: The quiz will cover the American Counseling Association (ACA) code of ethics. The student will have 60 minutes to choose the correct answer for 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions. Students must pass with a grade of 42 or above.
Suicide Risk Assessment Quiz: Review the article: Granello, D. (2010). The process of suicide risk assessment: Twelve core principles. Journal of Counseling & Development, 88, 363-370," provided in the module. Respond to the questions based on the article.
Jungers & Scott Textbook Quizzes (4): The quizzes will cover chapters 4-7 of Jungers & Scott, et al. textbook. The student will have 30 minutes to choose the correct answer for 5 multiple-choice questions.
Thomas Reading Quizzes (3): The quizzes will cover chapters 1, 3, and 4 of Thomas, et al. textbook. The student will have 30 minutes to choose the correct answer for 5 multiple-choice questions.
