Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be at least 500 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student will reply to the threads of at least 2 classmates. Each reply must be at least 300 words.

BIOM 523 Exams (6)

Each exam will cover the Reading & Study material for the assigned module/week. Each exam will be open-book/open-notes, contain true or false questions and multiple-choice questions, and have a time limit as follows:

Exam 1 – One hour and 15 minutes

Exam 2 – One hour

Exam 3 – One hour and 15 minutes

Exam 4 – One hour

Exam 5 – One hour

Exam 6 – One hour and 15 minutes

BIOM 523 Midterm Exam and Final Exam- 2 hours

The Midterm Exam will cover the information from Modules/Weeks 1–5 and the Final Exam will cover the information from Module 8.only. Each exam will be open-book/open-notes, contain true/false and multiple-choice questions. The Midterm Exam is cumulative from weeks (1-5) and will have a time limit of 2 hours.and the Final Exam is only on week 8 material and will have a time limit of 2 hours.

BIOM 523 Video Assignment

The student will create a Audio Powerpoint presentation on an organ of the body assigned to you in week 2. The student will include a description of the anatomy, physiology, and common pathologies of the organ. The Audio PowerPoint presentation must be 8–15 minutes and include at least 3 references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.

BIOM 523 Audio PowerPoint Presentation Rubric

You will post to blackboard and e-mail me at mblasi@liberty.edu an Audio PowerPoint-self presentation on an organ of the body that is assigned to you during Week 2 It must be submitted to blackboard and e-mailed to me by Sunday midnight at the end of Week 6 and you will then have a discussion board assignment in by Thursday midnight of week 7 and you then be watching and commenting on other student’s presentations by Sunday midnight of week 7.

The student is to give an audio PowerPoint description of the:

Detailed Anatomy of the organ= 25%

Detailed Physiology of the organ= 25%

Common pathologies associated with the organ= 30%

The presentation is to be no less than 8 minutes and no greater than 15 minutes in length =10%

The Presentation must have a bible verse slide =5%

The presentation must have a introduction slide that shows and introduces you. To the class = 5%

Audio PowerPoint Presentation production instructions

To produce the Audio PowerPoint presentation.

1. Go to PowerPointand make your slides.

2. You can add Audio by clicking on the inset button at the top of the each slide

3. Then audio on the far top left of the upper bar on the slide.

4. Then click on audio to my pc

5. Then the red button and start talking.
