In the first discussion board forum, the student will record a short video introducing himself/herself to the class. The length of the video is up to the student.
Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be a minimum of 600 words, demonstrate course-related knowledge, and include at least 3 unique citations. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be a minimum of 300 words.
Create a topic proposal for the visualization project in current APA format on the chosen research topic in an area of communication that fits within the tradition of Semiotics or Cybernetics. This topic proposal will be the basis for the final project in this class. 15 references must be included. Section One should be five pages, Section Two should be 10 pages.
The student will create a final visualization project based on the visualization topic proposal. This section of the project is to investigate what Chart Types will best represent the data/story that the student intends to communicate.

The student will create a visualization project. The references must be in current APA format that focuses on a topic of the student’s choosing. The project must include at least 20 references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible. The visualization should not be more than 3 pages long.
The student is responsible to critically review another student's Visualization project. Peer reviews enable you to practice thinking critically and to synthesize information. The student must complete a Peer Review of two (2) different student presentations. The student reviews must be written in your words in APA format. The submission should include one document, which should be a total of at least five (5) pages: one (1) title page, two (2) pages for review one, and two (2) pages for review two.
