Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be at least 250 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to at least 3 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 150 words. The student must support assertions with references from the specified course textbook. BIBL 105 Old Testament Bible Study Assignment

The student will complete a Bible study assignment where he or she will demonstrate correct use of the hermeneutical method in order to properly study and understand a passage from the Old Testament. The student will seek to discover what can be learned from the selected passage when he or she is studying using the technique of observation, interpretation, correlation, and application. Additionally, the student will connect the Bible passage to the redemptive narrative of Scripture. Rather than using the typical research paper format, this Bible study assignment will be completed by using a template that addresses each component of the hermeneutical method. BIBL 105 Quizzes (8)

Quizzes will cover the Reading & Study material from the Bible and from The Essence of the Old Testament: A Survey for the module/week in which it is assigned. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes. Quizzes 2–7 will contain 25 multiple-choice questions and will have a time limit of 1 hour. Quizzes 1 and 8 will contain 20 multiple-choice questions as well as 1 short-answer question and will have a time limit of 1 hour. (Learning Outcomes 1–4)
