CFRE 101 Discussion Board Forums (3)
Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to participate in 3 Discussion Board Forums throughout the course. Discussion Board Forum 2 will utilize YouTube and Video Everywhere. (MLO: A, C, D, E; FSLO: CGE: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)
CFRE 101 Rosetta Stone (4)
The student will work through Units 1–4 in Rosetta Stone. Each Rosetta Stone unit will have 5 lessons which the student will need to complete during the assigned module/week. Each unit will be graded as an average score from the core lessons and the milestone, all of which assess student achievement during that unit. (MLO: A, B, C, and D; FSLO: CIL 1)
CFRE 101 Oral Assessment
The student will complete the Oral Assessment on a topic given by the instructor. (MLO: A, B, and C)
CFRE 101 Rosetta Stone Live Tutoring Summaries/Reflections (2)
The student will complete 2 Live Tutoring sessions within the Rosetta Stone program. Once the session has been completed, the student will complete the Rosetta Stone Live Tutoring Summary/Reflection assignment, which must include a summary of the session, a reflection on his/her personal speaking abilities, and a plan for improvement. (MLO: A, B, and C; FSLO: CGE 1, 2, and 3; CIL 1, 2, and 3)
CFRE 101 Final Oral Exam Appointment Set-Up
The student will schedule an appointment to complete a Liberty University Online Foreign Language Lab (LU OFLL) session to prepare for the Final Exam: Oral. The student will attach and submit email confirmation from the LU OFLL. (MLO: A; FSLO: CGE: 1, 2, and 3; CIL 1 and 2)
CFRE 101 Tests (4)
There will be 4 tests throughout the course that will address certain learned vocabulary and/or grammatical concepts. Specifically, the tests will assess reading, writing, and grammar skills. Each test will be open-book/open-notes and include multiple-choice, true/false, short-answer, and/or matching questions. All tests have a 30-minute time limit. (MLO: E)
CFRE 101 Final Exam
The Final Exam will consist of 3 parts: the oral portion, the written portion, and the grammar portion.
Oral
The Oral Final Exam will require you to do two things. First, schedule a conference with an LU OFLL tutor and attempt to answer the questions given as a guideline without relying on notes or English. Make sure to set up your LU OFLL appointment well in advance. You can find the questions above under the attachment Oral Final Exam Instructions. Second, you will complete the exam by creating a video on YouTube as per the guidelines and submitting the link in the appropriate box for grading.

Written
The student will complete a written portion of the Final Exam. The written portion will be open-book/open-notes; cumulative; contain 25 multiple choice, matching, true/false, and short-answer questions; and have a 45-minute time limit. (MLO: A, B, C, D, E)
Grammar
The Grammar Exam: This will be completed through Blackboard. It will be open-book/open-notes; cumulative; contain 25 multiple choice, matching, true/false, and short-answer questions; and have a 45-minute time limit.
