Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be at least 250 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 125 words. This assignment aligns with the following FSLOs: SSI 1, SSI 3, CIL 2, and CT 4.

The student will write a 900–1,200-word research-based paper in current APA format that focuses on a disease process of the student’s choice. The paper must include at least 2 references in addition to the course textbooks and materials. This assignment aligns with the following FSLOs: SSI 1, SSI 3, SSI 4, and CIL 2.

Each quiz will cover the Reading & Study material for the module/week in which it is assigned. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, which means the student may refer only to his or her personal notes and materials for this course during the assessment. Quizzes will contain a mix of 25 multiple choice, true/false, and short answer/essay questions and have a 1-hour time limit. Quiz questions will be presented one at a time.
