RLGN 104 Discussion Board Forums (3)

Threads

Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided topic for each forum. Discussion Board Forum 1 requires the student to create a thread that must be 50–100 words for each question (100–200 words total). Discussion Board Forums 2–3 require the student to create a thread that must be 250–500 words. (MLO C, D and E). This assignment aligns with the following FSLOs: CT 5, CGE3, CGE4, CGE 5.

Replies

In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to at least 2 other classmates’ threads. For Discussion Board Forum 1, each reply must be 50–100 words. For Discussion Board Forums 2 and 3, each reply must be 150–300 words. All forums must be supported by course content, outside materials, and/or Scripture references using current APA, MLA, or Turabian formatting (whichever corresponds to the student’s degree program). RLGN 104 Worldview Paper

The student will submit a paper consisting of 450–750 words. This assignment is designed to assess the student’s understanding of worldview and biblical worldview following the content taught in the course. The student must support his or her answers with course content, research, and Scripture references. “See 'Course Policies' for the formatting expectations for assignments in this course.” A minimum of 3 different sources is required. At least 2 of the sources must be outside of the materials used in this course. (MLO: A, B) This assignment aligns with the following FSLOs: CT2, CT4, CGE 1, CGE5.

RLGN 104 Critical Thinking Paper

The student will submit a paper consisting of 500–1,000 words answering questions using critical thinking skills addressed in this course. This assignment is designed to assess the student’s critical thinking skills in the area of problem solving. The student must support his or her answers with course content, research, and Scripture references. “See 'Course Policies' for the formatting expectations for assignments in this course.” A minimum of 3 different sources is required. At least 2 of the sources must be outside of the materials used in this course. (MLO: A, B, E) This assignment aligns with the following FSLOs: CT2, CT3, CT5, CGE1 & CGE 3, CGE4.

RLGN 104 Tests (8)

Each test will cover the Reading & Study material for the assigned module/week. Each test will be open-book/open-notes, contain 20 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 30-minute time limit. (MLO: A, B, C) This assignment aligns with the following FSLOs: CT3, CT4, CT5, CGE1, CGE 3 , CGE 4.
