Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be 400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 200 words.
NGRK 511 Block Diagram
The student will submit a block diagram of the Greek text of the passage selected for the exegetical paper. The Greek text should be taken from the NA27/28, UBS4/5, or SBLGNT text. The diagram must analyze the phrases and clauses of the passage by using the block diagramming method from Thornhill’s Greek for Everyone.
NGRK 511 Syntax Analysis Paper
The student will submit a syntax analysis paper of selected Greek words from the passage selected for the exegetical paper. The Greek text should be taken from the NA27/28, UBS4/5, or SBLGNT text. The analysis must parse and analyze significant terms from the passage using the categories given in Thornhill’s Greek for Everyone as well as the readings in Beale et al, Harris, and any other supplemental resources necessary.
NGRK 511 Exegesis Paper
The student will write a 10-12 page research-based paper in current Turabian format that focuses on explaining the contextual meaning of the passage utilizing the tools, methods, and resources described in Thornhill’s Greek for Everyone as well as the readings in Merkle and Plummer’s Greek for Life. The paper must include at least 10 scholary sources in addition to interacting with the Greek text.
NGRK 511 Vocabulary Review Quiz
The Vocabulary Review Quiz will cover the "Words Used 500 Times or More" list in Metzger's Lexical Aids. This quiz will be closed-book/closed-notes, multiple choice, and have a 30-minute time limit and is graded on participation rather than accuracy.

Each quiz will cover the Reading & Study material for the assigned module(s)/week(s), including appropriate vocabulary sections from Metzger’s Lexical Aids. Each quiz/ will be closed-book/closed-notes, contain 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 30 minute time limit.
