Throughout the course, the student will respond to prompts in the Discussion Board Forums. The student must completely respond to the prompts and post a thread that has a minimum of 3 paragraphs and 250 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned module/week. The student must also submit replies to at least 2 classmates' threads that are at least 150 words each by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of the module/week assigned. The student must use supported posts from scholarly sources, complete paragraphs, proper APA formatting, and correct citation of information that is not his/her own.
The student will work on 6 assignments related to web development. Each assignment should be made available using the domain name that the student purchased for this course and accessible on the Internet via the purchased hosting provider. Assignments should have a visible timestamp of submission and the last edit timestamp on the website footer. These assignments are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of the assigned module/week.
The project in this course involves the design, development, and implementation of a content management system (CMS). The CMS will be developed to meet the business requirements of a “proposed” company. Part 1 will develop the company’s website. Part 2 will implement the CMS that manages the website content. Parts 1 and 2 will be due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on the final day of the module/week in which they are assigned.
The Final Exam is open-book/open-notes and is comprehensive. The student should apply the learned knowledge from the course to correctly answer 50-multiple-choice questions. The Final Exam measures knowledge learned from the assigned textbook readings in Modules/Weeks 1–7. The Final Exam is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 7.
