Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be at least 400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 200 words.

NBST 620 Book Critique

The student will be required to write an 1,800–2,400-word book critique of Entrusted with the Gospel (Köstenberger and Wilder, eds.). The critique must include a brief summary (300–600 words) of the book’s content and offer an analysis of the main contribution(s), subject matter, strengths, and weaknesses of 2 chapters of the student’s choice.

NBST 620 Research Paper

The student will write a 3,000–4,500-word research-oriented paper in current Turabian format that focuses on a topic related to the Pastoral Epistles. The paper must include at least 7 scholarly sources in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.

Each exam will cover the Reading & Study material for the module/week in which it is assigned. Each exam will: be open-book/open-notes; contain 30 multiple-choice, multiple answer, true/false, and/or short answer questions; and have a 1-hour time limit.
