Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be at least 1000 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 200–250 words.

The student will give detailed and well-explained answers to the case study questions assigned. There are no length restrictions as long as the responses are thoughtfully constructed.

BCHM 551 Group Video Presentation (1)

At the beginning of the course, the student will be assigned to a partner and, in collaboration with the partner, produce a 20-25-minute teaching video on the assigned metabolic pathway.

BCHM 551 Quizzes (8)

Each quiz will cover the Reading & Study material for the assigned modules/weeks. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 30-60 multiple-choice questions, and have a 60-120-minute time limit. Quiz time overruns will incur a 1-point deduction per minute over the set quiz time.
