INDS 200 Video Discussion Board Forum (4)
Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Students will practice interviewing skills by recording 45-90 second video responses to a different interview question each week. In addition to the video post, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ videos. Each reply must consist of 100-200 words noting at least one praise and one critique of the two classmate’s videos they review.
INDS 200 Personality Traits Activity
The student will identify top personality traits using a provided template and explain how those traits are evidenced currently in his/her life in an assessment assignment.
INDS 200 Values Clarification Activity
The student will use a provided template to determine his/her highest work values and prioritize those values most important to his/her future plans, professional and personal.
INDS 200 Résumé Draft
The student will reflect on his/her experiences and skillsets to create a current résumé draft which can be used for future job applications. This assignment is a draft of the final resume to be submitted in week 8.
INDS 200 LinkedIn
The student will build onto his/her professional online presence by establishing a profile on LinkedIn.
INDS 200 Networking Preparation
The student will submit a document providing the information of at least two people he/she hopes to job shadow to use for the networking reflection paper due week 7. He/she will also include a 1-paragraph summary of what he/she hopes to gain from the job shadowing experience.
INDS 200 Career Research Activity
The student will research a career of choice via 3 online articles and write a 2-page review of the articles, including an introduction and summary statement. The review should follow standard APA formatting.
INDS 200 Cover Letter Draft
The student will create a cover letter tailored to an employer of their choosing.
INDS 200 Networking Reflection
The student will submit an essays-style document of their job shadowing experience, responding to pre-assigned questions regarding the workplace environment.
INDS 200 Final Cover Letter
Applying the feedback given on the cover letter draft from week six, the student will submit a final cover letter that meets industry standards.
INDS 200 Final Résumé
Applying the feedback given on the resume draft from week three, the student will submit a final resume that meets industry standards.
