ENGL 202 Discussion Board Forums (3)
Over the course of the class, the student will participate in 3 Discussion Board Forums requiring a thread of 300 words in length and a response to another student of 125 words in length. The posts are due on the Thursday of the assigned week; the replies to a classmate’s post are due by the following Monday, the last day of the assigned week.

ENGL 202 Thesis and Outline (2)
In preparation for each paper, the student will submit a thesis statement and an outline based on the provided guidelines. The thesis statement and outline will be due the week before the final paper due dates.

ENGL 202 Analytical Papers (2)
These analytical papers (#1, minimum of 750 words; #2, minimum of 1250 words with at least three outside sources) will follow the guidelines posted on Blackboard and must be submitted in proper, current format (MLA, APA, or Turabian depending on the student’s program of study).

ENGL 202 Tests (4)
The student will take 4 open-book/open-notes tests on the assigned readings and class lectures. Each test consists of 30 multiple-choice and reading comprehension questions. The student will have 60 minutes to complete each of these tests, with a one-point deduction for each minute the student exceeds the time limit. The student may only take these tests once.
