BUSI 420 - Investments

BUSI 420 Group Discussion Board Forum

The instructor will place the student into a group at the beginning of Module/Week 5. The student will be required to collaborate with the group in order to provide a scholarly essay of 1,000–1,500 words. The essay will integrate relevant topics from the course with the biblical/Christian worldview. Each group will cite at least 3 outside scholarly sources (e.g., finance-related, peer-reviewed journal articles, etc.). Citations from the course textbook must be avoided. The essay must follow current APA format (including in-text citations and a reference list).

BUSI 420 Textbook Assignments (3)

The student will complete 3 Textbook Assignments throughout this course. These assignments will consist of a comprehensive problem provided by the instructor and will be completed independently by each student.

BUSI 420 Connect Homework (8)

The student will be assigned homework in the Connect online assignment system. Connect assignments will be graded automatically upon submission, and the instructor will subsequently transfer the scores to Blackboard.

Access to Connect is mandatory for the student. The student may either purchase a new textbook that is packaged with an access code or he or she may purchase the access code directly through a link provided by the course instructor. Additionally, the instructor will provide a unique Connect course ID along with specific instructions for registering.

BUSI 420 Connect Exams (4)

The student will take 4 bi-weekly online exams through Connect. The exams will be made up of some text-based questions drawn from the test bank and previous Connect Homework problems. It will behoove the student to be intentional in taking good notes and in building spreadsheet solutions for the Connect homework problems that he or she finds to be more difficult and/or time-consuming to complete.
