BIBL 364 Discussion Board Forums (4) (Learning Outcomes A, B, D, E)
Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to participate in each Discussion Board Forum by posting a 300-word thread in response to the instructor’s prompt. The student is also required to submit 200-word replies to 2 other classmates’ threads. More detailed guidance is given in the instructions for each of the 4 discussions.
BIBL 364 Thematic Analysis Essays (3) (Learning Outcomes B, D, F)
The student will write 3 essays in which he/she analyzes the thematic development in each of the 3 broad movements of the book of Acts (chapters 1–7, 8–12, and 13–28). More detailed guidance is given in the instructions for each of the 3 essays.
BIBL 364 Quizzes (4) (Learning Outcomes A, B, C, D, E)
The student will complete 4 open-book/open-notes quizzes. Each quiz will contain 20 multiple-choice, true/false, matching, and/or fill-in-the-blank questions. Additionally, each quiz will be timed with a 30-minute time limit and a penalty for each minute over the time limit.
BIBL 364 Acts Flow Chart (Learning Outcome B)
This assignment will be completed throughout the term and submitted in Module 8. As the student reads the book of Acts, he or she will fill out the provided template, giving each chapter of Acts an appropriate title, writing out a key verse from the chapter that supports the title, and identifying the three major events of the chapter. More detailed instructions are provided in the template.
BIBL 364 New Testament Timeline Interactive Activity and Quiz (Learning Outcome C)
The student will complete an interactive activity, watch a complementary video, and then take a quiz to demonstrate his ability to relate the history of Acts to the rest of the New Testament, particularly the Pauline epistles.
