RESP 321 Discussion Board Forums (5)
Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. The discussion board is a space for academic exchanges. As a result, the student must check for proper and exacting punctuation, spelling, and grammar. In addition, the student must reference all outside sources in correct citation format. It is crucial that the student maintain a high regard for proper decorum in the Discussion Board. Each thread must be at least 400 words and include at least 1 scholarly reference. Each reply must be at least 200 words.
RESP 321 Mechanical Ventilation Virtual Simulator (3 Cases)
A mechanical ventilation simulator is available free of charge by OPENPediatrics. The student must go to www.openpediatric.org and create an account as a healthcare professional and respiratory therapist. The student must then search for simulators, choose mechanical ventilator simulator, complete the knowledge guide, tactics, and the 3 cases. The score received on all 3 cases will determine the student’s grade for this assignment. The student must save his/her completion certificate and upload it to the provided submission link. The student can complete the cases as often as he/she would like to improve his/her score.
RESP 321 Exams (2)
There will be 2 exams in this course: a mid-term and a final exam. Each exam will cover the Reading & Study material for the assigned modules/weeks. Each exam will be open-book/open-notes, contain 50–60 multiple-choice questions, and have a 2-hour time limit that must be completed in one setting.
